Live Cyber Insurance Readiness Workshop

Can We Insure This?

A Practical Cyber Insurance Readiness Workshop

Cyber insurance applications ask deceptively simple questions about cybersecurity controls. The problem is that the answers can affect underwriting, pricing, coverage and what happens when a claim is eventually made.

In this live three-hour Workshop, you'll learn what insurers are actually asking, determine whether your answers can be supported with evidence, and identify the gaps that matter before your next application or renewal.

$499 per participant · 3 hours live · Cyber Insurance Readiness Toolkit · Workshop Completion Certificate · Complimentary book

Business leaders reviewing a cyber insurance application and supporting evidence together.

What you'll leave with

Not another insurance checklist. A clearer view of what you can actually prove.

The Workshop is designed to turn cyber insurance readiness from a questionnaire exercise into something you can use.

Over three hours, you'll examine what insurers are really asking, test whether your organization's answers can be verified, build the evidence behind material representations, and identify the gaps that deserve attention before your next application or renewal.

01

Understand the Underwriter

See what insurers are trying to learn about your organization and why particular controls affect underwriting.

02

Verify the Answer

Move beyond Yes or No and determine the real answer, who can verify it, and what evidence supports it.

03

Find the Gaps

Identify Partial, Unknown and unsupported answers before they become underwriting or claim problems.

04

Know What to Do Next

Turn what you find into a practical 90-day readiness action plan.

Why this matters

You can have insurance and still be unprepared for the loss.

Cyber insurance applications may look like questionnaires, but the answers an organization provides can influence underwriting, pricing, coverage and what happens when a claim is eventually made.

The challenge is that organizations often answer based on what they believe is happening rather than what they can actually demonstrate.

The goal is not to get every answer to “yes.”

It is to understand what the insurer is actually asking, determine your organization's real answer, identify who can verify it, and know what evidence supports the representation being made.

Can you prove the answers you're giving your insurer?

That is the question at the center of this Workshop.

The experience

Three hours. From application to business consequence.

This is an instructor-led working session, not three hours of slides. Patrick introduces the concepts, then participants apply them to a realistic cyber insurance application and the conditions inside an organization.

  1. 01Understand the RiskSee how a cyber event moves from a technical problem into operational disruption and financial loss.
  2. 02Read the Application DifferentlyLearn how to interpret questions about identity, endpoints, vulnerability management, backups, people and incident response.
  3. 03Prove the AnswerDetermine the actual answer, who can verify it, and what evidence supports it.
  4. 04See What Remains ExposedExamine where controls, recovery assumptions, providers or business dependencies create exposure even when insurance exists.
  5. 05Build Your Readiness PlanIdentify the three highest-priority actions to address before the next application or renewal.

Application traceability

Can you trace an application answer all the way back to evidence?

A cyber insurance answer should not begin and end with a checkbox. Material answers should connect what the insurer is asking to the actual control, the people responsible for it, the evidence showing how it operates, and the representation ultimately made on the application.

When that chain breaks, the organization may be making representations it cannot confidently support.

You'll work through the application, not just hear about it.

Exercise 1

Follow the Loss

Participants work through a realistic cyber event and trace how it moves from a security event into operational disruption and financial consequences.

Outcome

A clearer understanding of what the organization is actually trying to insure.

Exercise 2

Prove It

Participants work through a sample cyber insurance application and distinguish between Yes, No, Partial and Unknown answers while identifying appropriate supporting evidence.

Outcome

An underwriting evidence file built around supportable answers.

Exercise 3

Can We Insure This?

Participants evaluate the organization across five dimensions: Understand, Verify, Control, Recover and Finance.

Outcome

The three highest-priority actions to address before the next cyber insurance renewal.

You don't leave with another questionnaire. You leave knowing what you can prove and what needs attention.
